September 22, 2022
For the fourth year in a row, HLE Network organized a networking event in September in honor of the European Day of Languages. It is also a great way for HL program managers and teachers to kick off the new school year by catching up over a drink. This year we met at Pand P in Eindhoven on Thursday, September 22, 2022.
This year, there were 16 attendees from 9 different organizations, including the Holland Expat Center South. The languages that were represented were French, Chinese, Korean, Japanese, Spanish, Turkish, Bulgarian, Italian, Persian, and German.
We took the opportunity to update each other about our organizations' activities and to discuss the International Children's Book Collection at Eindhoven Library. We talked about ways we can reach the public with information about the importance of supporting multilingual children.
Thank you to everyone who attended. This tradition is an important one, to show to the greater community that we are actively connecting as professionals in the field of heritage language education.
