This month, the French Saturday School of Eindhoven "Francofilous" proudly sent a board member as representative to the Rencontre Mondiale FLAM 2024 in Paris, an international gathering dedicated to supporting French mother tongue (Français Langue Maternelle, or FLAM) education worldwide. The event was organized by FLAM Monde and brought together over 80 educators and officials from 26 countries to explore the theme “The Future of FLAM by 2030.”
The representative from Eindhoven's Francofilous had the pleasure of participating in plenary sessions, live roundtable discussions, and networking. Other members of the board of Francofilous also followed the various activities online via live streaming.
It is impressive to see volunteer groups engaging in professional development aimed at improving the impact of heritage language education. We extend a big thank you to the team at Francofilous for their team's dedication to offering high-quality heritage language education to the French-speaking children in Eindhoven.
